Alique Bedikian, Psy.D.

Clinical Psychologist (PSY 31843), Clinical Supervisor

Welcome to the therapeutic journey with Dr. Alique Bedikian, a dedicated professional committed to guiding individuals through life's challenges. Dr. Bedikian holds a B.A. in Psychology from California State University, Los Angeles, an M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pacific Oaks College, and a Psy.D. from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Her academic focus includes a compelling thesis on Intergenerational Trauma in the Armenian-American community and a dissertation exploring Ethnic Identity and Empathy in Second Generation Armenian-Americans.

With a wealth of experience gained during her training at esteemed institutions such as Kaiser Permanente, Aurora Behavioral Health, Coastline Community College, YWCA, and Family Recover Center, Dr. Bedikian brings a diverse and empathetic approach to her therapeutic practice. As an adjunct professor at Azusa Pacific University and The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, she not only shares her knowledge but also fosters a nurturing learning environment.

In 2020, Dr. Bedikian, alongside her colleagues, published impactful research in the Journal of Personality and Individual Differences, delving into psychodynamic and sociopolitical predictors of COVID distress and gravity. Actively engaged in professional organizations, she serves as the chair of the Depth Psychology Special Interest Group and is a committee member of the Newly Licensed Group at the Los Angeles County Psychological Association (LACPA). Dr. Bedikian extends her commitment to the community through involvement with organizations like the Pasadena Cancer Society and the Glendale Area Mental Health Professional Association.

Her qualifications include certificates in Jungian Psychotherapy, California State Domestic Violence Counseling, and Motivational Interviewing. Dr. Bedikian is extensively trained in trauma treatment, psychodiagnostic assessment, and group psychotherapy, ensuring a comprehensive and effective therapeutic approach.

Currently, Dr. Bedikian passionately focuses on assisting clients in navigating life's triumphs and catastrophes. Beyond her client-centered work, she serves as the Clinical Supervisor at Inner Wave Therapy, offering guidance to emerging clinicians. In her free time, Dr. Bedikian finds joy in pottery, biking, and hiking alongside her faithful canine companion, Monte.

Desiree Ingram-Garcia, M.A.

Psychological Associate (PSB 94027038)

Desiree Ingram is a psychological associate supervised by Alique Bedikian, Psy.D (PSY31843). Desiree earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminology, Law, and Society from the University of California, Irvine. While at the university, she interned with the Irvine Police Department as part of her field study program. Her work focused on researching ways to increase diversity within the police force. She conducted research on the effects of violent TV images on societal violence. At UCI, Desiree worked as a research assistant in the Social Ecology department to advance women's studies and promote equal pay among minorities.

Before attending UCI, Desiree was a dance major trained extensively in classical ballet and Latin-style dances. She switched majors to pursue her passion for positively impacting society. After graduation, Desiree was successful in corporate sales for several Fortune 500 companies. She was a medical sales representative who specialized in nutraceuticals for depression, early to moderate cognitive impairment and diabetic peripheral neuropathy. Later, she obtained her Master of Arts degree in Sport and Exercise Psychology from Argosy University.

Currently, Desiree is a 6th-year (Psy.D.) candidate at Pacifica Graduate Institute, where she is working on her dissertation research titled "When Dreams Save Lives: A Phenomenological Inquiry into Dreams and Suicidality." Her clinical interests include working with individuals who struggle with ADHD, substance use, depression, anxiety, and sports and exercise psychology. She advocates for community mental health, equality, and diversity.

Desiree enjoys reading, researching, and writing poetry in her free time. She is still passionate about the arts and continues to train vigorously in Vaganova ballet. She also enjoys paddleboarding.

Nareh Nazari, M.A., AMFT

Nareh Nazari received her B.A. in English Literature from the University of California, Los Angeles. She then obtained her M.A. in Clinical Psychology with and Emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University. During her practicum training, she worked at the YWCA of Glendale and Pasadena as a clinical intern therapist. There, she facilitated sessions with individuals, groups, and families of survivors of intimate partner violence and their children. Nareh is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist under the licensed supervision of Alique Bedikian, Psy.D. (PSY31843).

Nareh recognizes the bravery in taking the first big step towards a happier and healthier version of yourself. She offers a collaborative approach with each client to ensure their unique needs are being met and understood. Nareh is determined to create and maintain a safe and judgment free environment in which clients could receive quality mental health care.

Kiley Cuene, M.A.

Psychological Associate (PSB 94028263)

Kiley is a psychological associate supervised by Dr. Alique Bedikian, Psy.D (PSY31843). She received a Bachelor’s in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, and a Master’s in Forensic Psychology from The Chicago School in Anaheim. During her practicum training, she worked as an intern therapist at Telecare Assisted Outpatient Treatment in Santa Ana. For her second practicum, she worked at a private practice specializing in independent educational evaluations and diagnostic testing.

Kiley is a fourth-year (Psy.D.) doctoral student at The Chicago School. She conducted her dissertation on secondary traumatic stress, burnout, and compassion satisfaction in correctional mental health professions, with an emphasis on gender and race.

Her clinical interests include working with individuals who struggle with anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and post-traumatic stress disorder. Kiley is committed to fostering a safe and non-judgmental environment where clients can increase their confidence and improve their psychological well-being.

Practicum Trainee

Andrew Huh received his Bachelor of Arts in psychology from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He most recently received his Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. He is in his 3rd year as a doctoral candidate (Psy.D) at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology.

Alongside his clinical work, Andrew is currently focused on his dissertation research on the manifestations of cognitive issues in Korean American immigrants as affected by various psychological factors. Andrew’s interests in psychology include research and clinical work in the realm of neuropsychology, psychodynamic therapy, and providing outreach for East Asians’ mental health (i.e., Korean Americans). As a student clinician, Andrew understands the unique challenges each individual faces in their life and approaches his work with genuine care, empathy, and curiosity. Andrew believes in seeing his clients for who they are and openly invites self-exploration through creating safe and calming spaces.

Andrew has clinical experience in psychodynamic psychotherapy from his time at Chapman University’s Student Psychological Counseling Services and Healing Rhythms Mental Health. Andrew has received training in various neuropsychological assessments from his program. He is also bi-lingual in English and Korean.

Andrew is supervised by Alique Bedikian, PsyD (PSY 31843).

Andrew Huh, M.A.

Practicum Trainee

Sophia Felson is a practicum trainee under the supervision of Dr. Alique Bedikian, Psy.D (PSY31843). She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from New York University and a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from The Chicago School - Los Angeles Campus. During her practicum, Sophia provided therapeutic services to incarcerated women, gaining valuable experience in treating individuals from diverse backgrounds with varying diagnostic presentations.

Sophia is a third-year (Psy.D) doctoral student at The Chicago School - Los Angeles Campus where she is conducting dissertation research on the prevalence of secure attachment among children of therapists.

Her clinical interests include anxiety and stress management, relationship challenges, attachment issues, and trauma. Sophia is dedicated to cultivating an open and empathetic therapeutic environment where clients feel safe to explore their internal world. Her primary treatment orientation is psychodynamic with influences of humanistic psychology.
